 Potato hash browns/ Vegan hash browns/ Eggless hash browns 


Crispy, delicious and savoury hash browns are simple, easy and quick recipe. These vegan and gluten free hash browns are prefect for breakfast, brunch or evening snack. These Vegan hash browns can also be served as a side dish with rice and dal. These hash browns can be easily prepared by using few ingredients from kitchen pantry. 


Quick recipe tips -

1. Adjust spices according to taste.

2. Instead of olive oil... sesame oil or coconut oil can be used.

3. Instead of rice flour...cornflour,  tapioca flour or oats flour can be used.


Ingredients -

1 boiled potato grated

To taste salt

1/4 tsp red chilli powder

Pinch turmeric powder

1/2 tsp grated ginger

1/4 tsp green chilli paste

3-4 tbsp coriander leaves chopped

1 tbsp rice flour

Few tablespoons olive oil 

Method -

1. In a bowl mix potato, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger, green chilli paste, coriander leaves and rice flour.


2. Mix well and keep aside for 5 minutes.


3. Rub little oil on hands. Take a small portion from the mixture and make small patties.


4. Heat tawa on slow flame till medium hot. Drizzle few drops of olive oil and place patties on the tawa. Drizzle oil on top and sides. Cook on medium slow flame for 3-4 minutes.


5. Change the side and cook for 3-4 minutes.


6. Cook till both sides are golden and crispy.


7. Vegan potato hash brown is ready. Transfer to a serving plate.


8. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
