Bihari aloo ki bhujiya
Bihari aloo ki bhujiya is a simple, easy, quick and crunchy Bihari aloo recipe. This humble recipe is prepared in every house in Bihar. It is a combination of potatoes and flavoured spices. This super delectable dish pairs well with roti, paratha, dal and chawal.
Ingredients -
5 Potatoes peeled and cut lengthwise like french fries
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Cumin seeds
2 tbsp Mustard oil
Salt to taste
1 tsp chat masala
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
Method
1. Heat oil in a non-stick wok. Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
2. Stir in the chopped potatoes and fry it on high flame. Keep stirring in between.
3. When potatoes turn golden brown in colour switch the flame to slow.
4. Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, chilli flakes and chat masala. Mix well.
5. Cover and cook on slow flame and keep stirring in between until the potatoes are cooked properly.
6. Bihari Aloo Bhujiya is ready to serve. Serve as a side dish along with dal and rice.
