 Hide & seek chocolate mousse chilled cake 


Quick tips :

1. Instead of hide & seek biscuits and biscuits can be used.

2. If not having a cake pan with removeable base....in that case ..cover the cake pan with cling film or simple foil paper. 

Then add biscuit butter mixture and spread on it properly.

Then add filling and when set hold the cling film from all sides the pushing it upwords take it out of the pan. 


Ingredients for base:

Hide & Seek biscuit : 1 pkt.(20 pcs)

Unsalted Butter : 50 g (melted)

For spread on the base :

Snacker / munch wafered chocolate : 2 (chopped)

Ingredients for chocolate mousse :

Sugar : 2 tbsp

Water : 4 tbsp

Nescafe : 1 tsp

Chocolate chips : 1-1/2 cup

Whipping cream : 1 cup

For decoration :

Whipped cream : 2 tbsp 


Method :

1. In a mixer jar add biscuits. Crush them into a fine powder.

2. Add melted butter and mix well.

3. Take a cake pan with removable base. Add powdered biscuit butter mixture in it.

4. Spread all the mixture properly in the cake pan, by covering the bottom.

5. Press it till all the mixture is firm. Place the cake pan in the fridge for 1 hr to set.

6. Take out the cake pan from the fridge and spread chopped snackers / munch wafered chocolate on the firm and chilled biscuit base.

7. Again keep in the fridge till use. 


Method for chocolate mousse: 

1. Take cream in a bowl and whip it with beater or with whisker till light, fluffy and soft peaks are formed. Keep it in fridge till use.

2. In a bowl add sugar, water and nescafe. Boil it in microwave till the sugar is dissolved. Mix it properly.

3. Add in chocolate chips and mix properly. Micro it for 30 sec and then mix. Repeat the process untill all the chocolate chips are melted properly.

4. Now add cream in melted chocolate coffee mixture. Mix softly till it is mixed. Chocolate mousse is ready. 


Method to assemble :

1. When the mousse is ready take out the cake pan from the fridge.

2. Pour chocolate mousse on the biscuit chocolate base.

3. Spread the mousse evenly by tapping the pan with hands lightly.

4. Pour 1 tbsp of whipped cream in the center and few on sides of the mousse.

5. Make swirls or designes with toothpick.

6. Do not overdo it...otherwise it will mix with the mousse.

7. Keep the pan in the fridge to set. When it is set properly remove the base from the pan carefully.


8. Hide & seek chocolate mousse chilled cake is ready.
