Chatpata Chutney Corns

 Chatpata Chutney Corns 


Chatpate chutney corns... A simple spicy and healthy recipe prepared by boiling corn corb, packed with chutneys and tossed with spicies is a lip smacking recipe served as evening snack.


Ingredients for boiling : 

Corns : 5

Salt : 1 tsp

Water as needed to dip the corns

Ingredients for coriander chutney :

Coriander leaves : 1/2 cup

Green chilli : 2-3

Tomatoes : 2

Onion : 1

Garlic : 3 cloves

Ginger : 1 inch

Salt to taste

Red chilli powder to taste

Lemon juice : 1 tbsp

Water as needed

Ingredients for imli chutney :

Imli / tamarind paste : 1 tbsp full

Water : 1/4 cup

For garnish :

Coriander leaves : 2 tbsp chopped

Chaat masala as needed 


Method :

1. Peel the corns and break into pcs. Put the corns in pressure cooker and add salt & water. Close the lid of the cooker and pressure cook for 4-5 whistles. Let it cool down. Open the lid and drain the water from the corns. Keep aside. 


2. Prepare coriander chutney : In a mixer jar add coriander leaves, green chilli, tomato, onion, garlic, ginger, salt, red chilli powder and lemon juice.

3. Add little water and blend them to a smooth chutney. Transfer it to a bowl. Add more water if needed. Consistency of the chutney should be pouring. Keep aside. 


4. Prepare imli / tamarind chutney : In a bowl add tamarind paste and water. Mix well to make a pouring consistency. Add more water if needed. Keep aside. 


5. For serving : Place boiled corns in a serving bowl. Pour coriander chutney on the corns. And then pour tamarind chutney on top. 

6. Sprinkle chaat masala on it. Garnish with coriander leaves.


7. Chatpata chutney corns are ready to eat.
