 Gulab jamun button cookies 


Gulab jamun button cookies are quick, easy, egg free, crispy and buttery cookies. These delicious buttery cookies are made from MTR Gulab jamun premix which is easily available in market. It is a little twist to our lip smacking deep fried gulab jamuns. These baked cookies are prepared by just a handful of ingredients which are easily available.


Quick tip -

1. Use unsalted melted butter.

2. Use powdered sugar.

3. Vanilla essence can also be added. I did not add it because i like cardamom and cinnamon flavour. 


Ingredients -

160 grams gulab jamun mix pkt

80 grams melted butter

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

1/2 tsp rose water

2 tbsp kharbooja magaz 

Method -

1. In a bowl add gulab jamun mix, cardamom powder, 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder and powdered sugar. Mix well. 


2. Add melted butter and knead it.


3. Add rose water and knead again.


4. Knead it to a soft smooth dough.


5. Make small marble size balls from the dough. Flatten it lightly. Arrange these balls on the oven proof baking tray lined with foil and greased with butter. 


6. Arrange kharbooja magaz on each cookie.


7. Preheat oven at 160°C for 10 minute. Bake for 160°C for 15-20 minutes.


8. Remove it from oven and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.

9. Cookies are perfectly baked.


10. Gulab jamun button cookies are ready. Serve with adrak wali chai.


11. Store it in air tight container.
