Paneer Poppers
A perfect simple appetizing mouthwatering delicacy prepared by mixing grated paneer, onions, garlic, green chilli, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper, cumin powder and maida. Make small balls from this mixture and dip it in a slurry prepared using maida, cornflour, salt, chilli powder and water. Then coating these balls with bread crumbs. Give it a resting time of 15 minutes in fridge. Drop these balls in hot oil and deep fry them till golden and crisp. Crispy paneer poppers are ready to serve. Serve with spicy tomato ketchup or any dip of your choice along with a hot cup of masala chai.
Ingredients -
200 gram Paneer grated
1 Onions chopped
1 tbsp Finely chopped Garlic
1 Green chili grated
To taste Salt
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp Cumin powder
2 tbsp Maida
Ingredients for batter -
4 tbsp Maida
4 tsp Corn flour
To taste Salt
1/2 tsp Chili powder
As needed little Water to make batter
For coating -
As needed Bread crumbs
Method -
1. Take a mixing bowl grate paneer in it. Add onions, garlic, green chilli, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper and cumin powder. Add maida and mix well.
2. Paneer mixture is ready.
3. Make small balls from this paneer mixture.
4. Place all the ready balls on the plate.
5. In a small bowl add maida, cornflour, salt and chilli powder. Mix well.
6. Mix water little by little and make a thick batter.
7. Batter should be smooth and lump free.
8. Dip these paneer balls in maida cornflour batter.
9. Coat them with batter.
10. Take these balls out from the batter using fork.
11. Coat them with bread crumbs.
12. Keep it in fridge for 15 minutes.
13. Heat oil in a wok. Take the paneer balls out of the fridge and drop these balls in hot oil.
14. Deep fry them on medium low flame till golden and crisp.
15. Remove these balls on tissue paper. Crispy paneer poppers are ready to serve.
16. Arrange these poppers in a serving plate.
17. Serve with spicy tomato ketchup or any dip of your choice along with a hot cup of masala chai.
18. Serve hot.
