 Carrot murabba/ Gajar murabba 


Carrot murabba is a juicy, tender and soft lip smacking dessert. This is a heirloom recipe which is prepared in my family from ages and today i am glad to share it with you all. My mom learnt from my granny and me from my mom. This is a seasonal recipe which is prepared in winter season only when juicy and fresh carrots are in abundance.


Ingredients :

3 Carrots red and juicy

1 cup sugar

2 cups water 

Method with step photos :

1. Peel carrots and cut from top and bottom. Cut them into 2 inch thick rounds. 


2. With the help of peeler take the hard inner side out of the carrot  rings. Wash them with water.

rick carrot rings with the fork.

Take a big bowl. Add sugar and water. Place the bowl on the high flame and keep mixing.

keep mixing till the sugar dissolves properly.

Now add carrot rings in the syrup.

ring it to boil. 


8. 
Simmer the flame and let it cook.


9. Let it cook until carrots changes its colour and becomes soft.


10. Switch off the flame. Check with a fork. Carrots are soft.


11. Carrot murabba is ready.


12. Sprinkle few  sesame seeds. Serve hot or cold tastes delicious.
