Aloo methi
Quick recipe tips -
1. Adjust spices according to taste.
2. Wash and chop methi leaves/ fenugreek leaves.
3. Take big size potatoes. Wash, peel and chop them.
Ingredients -
2 bunch methi leaves chopped
5 Potatoes (big size) chopped
2-3 tbsp mustard oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 inch ginger grated
1 tsp garlic minced
1 tsp green chilli paste
1 onion chopped
To taste Salt
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp tandoori masala
2 pinches sesame seeds
Method -
1. Heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds, green chilli paste, ginger, garlic and fry on slow flame for few second. Add onion and fry till golden.
2. Add potatoes. Mix and fry on medium high flame till golden. Keep stirring in between.
3. Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, tandoori masala and mix well on slow flame.
4. Add methi leaves and mix well on slow flame.
5. Cover and cook on slow flame mixing in between till it is properly cooked.
6. Aloo methi sabzi is ready.
7. Transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Serve hot with chapati, salad and curd.
