 Tandoori gobhi fry/ Tandoori cauliflower fry 


Quick recipe tip -

1. Adjust spices according to taste.

2. Instead of red food colour... 1/2 tsp beetroot juice or degi lal mirch can be added.

3. 1 kg cauliflower is equal to 4-5 cups of cauliflower florets.


Ingredients -

1 kg cauliflower (cut into florets)

Ingredients to marinate -

1/2 cup (100 ml) thick curd

2 tbsp besan/ gram flour

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1/2 tsp green chilli paste

To taste salt

1/4 tsp red chilli powder

1/4 tsp black pepper powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

1/2 tsp lemon juice

Pinch red food colour

Other ingredients -

As needed oil for deep frying

3-4 tbsp coriander leaves chopped

1/2 tsp chat masala

1/2 lemon juice

1/2 tsp sesame seeds 

Method - 

1. In a bowl add thick curd, besan, ginger garlic paste, green chilli paste, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, garam masala powder, red food colour and lemon juice.

2. Mix well and add cauliflower florets. Mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes.

3. Heat oil in a wok. Deep fry marinated florets on medium flame till golden. 

4. Add these fried cauliflower in the same bowl in which the marination is made.

5. Add coriander leaves, chat masala and lemon juice. Mix well. 

6. Tandoori cauliflower fry is ready. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve as a side dish or can be eaten as evening snack.


Method with step photos -

4. Heat oil in a wok. Deep fry marinated florets on medium flame till golden. 


5. Add these fried cauliflower in the same bowl in which the marination is made. Add coriander leaves, chat masala and lemon juice.


6. Mix well. Tandoori cauliflower fry is ready.


7. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve as a side dish or can be eaten as evening snack.
