Chocolate flax seed turmeric bites
Quick recipe tip -
1. Chop dates and soak it in hot water for 10-15 minutes. It will become soft and will be easy to grind.
2. Preserve the water from the dates it can be used in any sweet recipes.
3. Desiccated coconut powder is used in this recipe.
4. For flax seed powder - dry roast flax seeds in a wok. Let it cool. Grind it in grinder to a fine powder.
5. While grinding incase the mixture turns to be dry add more chopped dates.
6. This recipe stays good for 1 week in fridge.
7. Before grinding all the ingredients together... it is advised to grind walnuts and almonds coarsely. Then add them with all the ingredients in the grinder.
Ingredients -
1 cup dates chopped & soaked
1/2 cup coconut powder
1/4 cup walnuts
1/4 cup almonds
1 tbsp flax seed powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp poppy seeds roasted
1 tbsp kharbooja magaz
2 tbsp water drained from the dates
Method -
1. Soak chopped dates in hot water for 10-15 minutes. Drain it.
2. Take a grinder jar add chopped and soaked dates, walnuts, almonds, coconut powder, flax seed powder, cinnamon powder, turmeric powder, cocoa powder, kharbooja magaz, poppy seeds.
3. Grind everything. Add 2 tbsp water drained from the dates, grind. While grinding stop in between to scrape the sides down occasionally.
4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and make small balls from the mixture.
5. Chocolate flax seed turmeric bites are ready to eat.
6. Serve it with a glass of hot milk.
