 Sattu halwa/ Protein halwa 


Sattu halwa/ Protein halwa is a healthy, quick, easy and delicious halwa. Sattu is a perfect blend of nutrients. Sattu halwa is prepared by roasting sattu flour then adding jaggery, cardamom powder and water.


Ingredients -

1 cup sattu flour

1/2 tbsp + 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp unsalted butter

1/2 cup mix dry fruits chopped

1/2 cup powdered jaggery

1 cup + 1 cup water

1 tsp cardamom powder 

Method -

1. Heat 1/2 tbsp butter in a wok. Add sattu flour and fry till golden on slow flame.

2. Add cardamom powder and mix dry fruits. 

3. Mix well on slow flame and add powdered jaggery. Mix well for 2-3 minutes on slow flame.

4. Add water and 1 tbsp butter and mix well. Cover and cook for 2 minutes on slow flame.

5. Open the lid add 1 tbsp butter and mix on slow flame. Sattu halwa is ready.

6. Transfer to a serving plate. Top with chopped dry fruits. Serve hot.
