Tandoori dhokla
Tandoori dhokla is a healthy, tasty, simple and easy to serve snack. It is prepared by marinating soft nylon khaman dhokla in thick curd and flavoured spices. After marinating dhokla pieces it is cooked on open flame then tossed with chat masala, lemon juice and coriander leaves.
Ingredients -
9 dhokla pieces diced
For marination -
1 cup thick curd
1 tsp tandoori masala
To taste salt
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp chat masala
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp degi mirch/ pinch red food colour
For serving -
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tsp chat masala
1/2 lemon juice
Method -
1. In a bowl add curd, tandoori masala, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chat masala, oil and degi mirch. Mix well.
2. Add dhokla pieces. Mix well.
3. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
4. Arrange marinated dhokla pieces in skewer.
5. Roast it on open flame.
6. Roast till golden and crisp.
7. Take roasted dhokla pieces on the plate. Sprinkle chat masala, lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix well.
8. Serve hot with mint chutney or amla chutney.
