Paneer tartlets

 Paneer tartlets 


Paneer tartlets are easy, flaky and crispy tarts filled with paneer and topped with cheese. 

Preheat oven  : 220*C for 10 min
Bake : 25-30 minutes
Makes : 8 


Ingredients for tartlets dough :

Maida : 1 cup

Salted Butter : 100 g 

Ice cold water as needed

For filling :

Paneer : 250 g 

Cooking oil : 2-3 tbsp

Cumin seeds : 1/2 tsp

Onion : 1 chopped

Salt to taste

Red chilli powder to taste

Kasuri methi to taste

Garam masala to taste

Tomato ketchup : 3 tbsp

For topping : 

Mozzarella cheese : 1/2 cup grated 


Method for dough :

1. In a bowl add maida and butter.

2. Mix it well with your fingers to a coarse texture.

3. Add ice cold water and knead it to a dough.

4. Wrap it in cling film or any plastic wrap and keep in fridge for 30 min.

5. Tartlets dough is ready.


 Method for filling :

1. In a plate cut paneer into small cubes. Keep aside.

2. Heat oil in kadai. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter for a sec.

3. Add onions and fry till golden. Add salt, red chilli powder, kasuri methi and garam masala. Mix well.

4. Add paneer cubes and mix well.

5. Add tomato ketchup and mix. 

6. Switch off the flame and let it cool. 

7. Filling is ready. 


Method to assemble and bake :

1. Take out the tartlet dough from the fridge. Take small ball from the dough and spread it with hands or rolling pin like chapati. Place chapati on the tart moulds. And prick each tart with fork.

2. Fill in the filling. And spread with cheese on top. 


3. Preheat oven at 220*C for 10 minutes.
4. Bake for 25-30 minutes till the cheese is golden.
5. Take out the baked tarts from oven. And cool a bit.
6. Take out baked paneer tarts from the moulds.


7. Paneer tartlets are ready. Serve warm.

Honey chilli Paneer Poppers

 Honey chilli Paneer Poppers


Ingredients -

200 gram Paneer grated

1 Onions chopped

1 tbsp Finely chopped Garlic

1 Green chili grated

To taste Salt

1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp black pepper powder

1 tsp Cumin powder

2 tbsp Maida

Ingredients for batter -

4 tbsp Maida

4 tsp Corn flour

To taste Salt

1/2 tsp Chili powder

As needed little Water to make batter

For coating -

As needed Bread crumbs

For honey chilli sauce -

4 tsp Oil

9-10 Garlic minced

1/2 tsp White Sesame seeds

1 Onion chopped

1 Capsicum chopped

1 tbsp red chilli sauce

2 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp vinegar

To taste salt

1 tbsp corn flour mix with 1/4 cup water

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp sesame

Method -

1. Take a mixing bowl grate paneer in it. Add onions, garlic, green chilli, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper and cumin powder. Add maida and mix well. Paneer mixture is ready.

2. Make small balls from this paneer mixture. Keep aside.

3. In a small bowl add maida, cornflour, salt and chilli powder. Mix well. Mix water little by little and make a thick batter.

4. Dip these paneer balls in maida cornflour batter and then coat them with bread crumbs. Keep it in fridge for 15 minutes.

5. Heat oil in a wok. Take the paneer balls out of the fridge and dip it again in maida cornflour mixture.

6. Drop these balls in hot oil and deep fry them on medium low flame till golden and crisp. Remove these paneer popper balls on tissue paper.

For honey chilli sauce -

7. Heat oil in a wok. Add white sesame seeds, garlic, onion and saute for few second.

8. Add capsicum and fry for few minute. Add red chilli sauce, tomato sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, salt and mix well. Add little water and mix. Add cornflour mix and mix well.

9. Add paneer poppers and mix. Add honey and mix. Add sesame seeds and mix.

10. Honey chilli Paneer popper is ready. Transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot.


Method with step photos -

24. Serve hot.

Aloo Chaat – Street Style!!

Aloo Chaat – Street Style!!

It is a very popular street chaat made with fried potato wedges tossed with spices, chutneys and lemon juice. This aloo chaat is typically consumed during the evening as an appetizer or a starter.


Ingredients For Frying -

As needed Oil for deep/ shallow frying
1/2 kg Potatoes (wash, peel & dice them)


For Chaat -

1 onion chopped
1 green chilli grated
1 cup coriander leaves chopped
1 tbsp salt
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp chat masala


For Garnish -

Imli chataka chutney
Watermelon rind chutney


Method -

1. Wash, peel and dice potatoes. 



2. Heat oil in a wok. Deep fry potatoes till golden. 


3. Drain them on tissue paper.


4. Take a bowl add fried potatoes in it. 

5. Add chopped onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, salt, red chilli powder, chat masala and mix well.



6. Add imli chutney, Watermelon rind chutney and mix well.
7. Transfer it to a serving plate. Spread a tbsp of imli & Watermelon rind chutney. 


8. Serve immediately.
