Chilli Paneer
Chilli Paneer is an Indo-Chinese dish. It is served with fried rice or noodles. But, it can also be relished with naan or roti. This delicious recipe is prepared by coating paneer cubes in flour and spices mix batter and then shallow fried until golden and crispy.

Ingredients -
250 gm Paneer (store bought)
For Batter -
2 Tbsp maida
2 Tbsp cornflour
1/2 tsp salt
For sauce -
2 Tbsp oil
1 Tbsp ginger, shredded
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 Tbsp green chili (chopped)
1 onion thinly sliced
2 capsicum thinly sliced
1 tsp chili flakes
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp tomato sauce
1-1/2 tsp cornflour
1/2 cup water
Method -
1. Wash and cut paneer in dices.
2. To make batter mix maida, cornflour, and salt in a bowl. Add water slowly to make a smooth batter.
3. Dip the paneer pieces in the batter.
4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium high heat for shallow fry paneer pieces. Oil should be moderately hot.
5. Drop the paneer pieces slowly into oil in the frying pan.Fry the paneer in small batches.
6. Fry them turning occasionally, until they are golden.
7. Take them out over paper napkin or tissue paper or griddle.
8. For sauce heat the oil in wok over medium heat, add ginger, garlic and green chili stir for about one minutes.
9. Add onion and fry till golden. Add capsicum and fry for a second.
10. Add pinch of salt and mix.
11. Take out some for garnishing in plate.
12. Add salt, soy sauce, vinegar, chili flakes, and tomato sauce, mix for 1 minute. Mix water and cornflour and add to the sauce.
13. Cook for few minutes, consistency of the sauce will get semi thick.
14. Add paneer, and bell pepper into sauce.
15. Keep mixing for few more minutes. Switch off the flame.
16. Chilli Paneer is ready, serve hot.
