 Coconut ladoo/ Nariyal ladoo 


Coconut ladoo is a popular Indian sweet which is prepared during festivals like Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi and Navaratri especially as an offering.  


Ingredients - 

2 cups coconut powder

For milk -

1-1/2 cup milk (normal temp.)

or

5 tbsp milk powder dissolve in 

1-1/2 cup lukewarm water

Other ingredients -

3/4 cup sugar

1 tbsp rose water

1/2 cup kaju (grind it to a coarse powder)

1/2 tsp cardamom powder 


Method - 

1. Take a big mug add milk powder.


2. Add
 lukewarm water little by little. Mix it properly and keep aside. 


3. 
Take a wok add coconut powder.


4. Add milk (made from milk powder).


5. Keep mixing for 2-3 minute on slow flame or till the milk gets absorbed by coconut powder.


6. Add sugar and keep mixing on slow flame. 


7. Mix continuously on slow flame.


8. Mix until the sugar water dries up completely. 


9. Mix well. 


10. Add rose water and mix well. Keep mixing on slow flame for few minutes. Switch off the flame and let it cool completely. 


11. Take cashews in grinder.


12. Grind it coarsely.


13. When the mixture is cooled properly add coarsely ground kaju powder and cardamom powder. Mix well. 


14. Mix well.


15. Make small balls from the mixture.


16. Roll them in coconut powder. Keep it in fridge for 1/2 hr and then serve or you can eat it as it is.


17. Coconut ladoo are ready.

Sattu dry fruits ladoo is a gluten free, healthy, simple, easy recipe. This recipe is prepared by dry roasting sattu flour and then packed with jaggery, nuts, flavoured indian spices, dry rose petals. After mixing everything I added juice to this recipe for binding it which has enhanced it's taste. No ghee, no butter is added in this recipe.

Quick recipe tip - 

1. Instead of fresh mixed fruit juice... Any juice can be used.

2. Add juice 1 tbsp at a time to bind the ladoo's.

3. Juice should be at room temperature.

4. You can add nuts according to your taste.

5. Stays good at room temperature for 1 week but incase weather is too hot or humid then keep it in fridge.


Ingredients -

1 cup sattu flour

1/2 cup powdered jaggery

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

1/2 tsp dry ginger powder

1 tbsp dry rose petals

1/2 cup nuts (almond, cashews, walnuts)

6-7 tbsp fresh mixed fruit juice 

Method with step photos -

1. Dry roast sattu flour on slow flame until light brown. Switch off the flame. Let it cool a bit.


2. Add powdered jaggery, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, dry ginger powder, dry rose petals and nuts.


3. Mix everything well.


4. Add mixed fruit juice 1 tbsp at a time. 


5. Mix well with your fingers.


6. Bind it into a smooth dough ball.


7. Make small ladoo's from the dough. Keep aside for few hours to set.


8. Sattu dry fruits ladoo are ready. Serve it as a sweet snack.
