Coconut ladoo/ Nariyal ladoo
Coconut ladoo is a popular Indian sweet which is prepared during festivals like Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi and Navaratri especially as an offering.
Ingredients -
2 cups coconut powder
For milk -
1-1/2 cup milk (normal temp.)
or
5 tbsp milk powder dissolve in
1-1/2 cup lukewarm water
Other ingredients -
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp rose water
1/2 cup kaju (grind it to a coarse powder)
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Method -
1. Take a big mug add milk powder.
2. Add lukewarm water little by little. Mix it properly and keep aside.
3. Take a wok add coconut powder.
4. Add milk (made from milk powder).
5. Keep mixing for 2-3 minute on slow flame or till the milk gets absorbed by coconut powder.
6. Add sugar and keep mixing on slow flame.
7. Mix continuously on slow flame.
8. Mix until the sugar water dries up completely.
9. Mix well.
10. Add rose water and mix well. Keep mixing on slow flame for few minutes. Switch off the flame and let it cool completely.
11. Take cashews in grinder.
12. Grind it coarsely.
13. When the mixture is cooled properly add coarsely ground kaju powder and cardamom powder. Mix well.
14. Mix well.
15. Make small balls from the mixture.
16. Roll them in coconut powder. Keep it in fridge for 1/2 hr and then serve or you can eat it as it is.
17. Coconut ladoo are ready.
