Eggless Omelette
Traditionally Omelette is prepared with eggs and spices. However, this recipe Eggless Omelette is a super quick and easy and fulfilling meal which is made with gram flour, all purpose flour, spices and vegetables. This recipe can be customised by adding one's choice of vegetables.
Recipe notes -
1. Add spices to taste.
2. Batter should be smooth and flowing.
Ingredients -
4 tbsp besan/ gram flour
1 tbsp maida/ All purpose flour
1/3 cup + 2 tbsp water
1/4 tsp baking powder
To taste salt
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1 onion small chopped
2-3 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
1 green chilli chopped
1 tsp oil
1 tsp butter
For sprinkle on top -
Red chilli flakes
Sesame seeds
Method -
1. In a bowl mix besan and maida.
2. Add water and mix.
3. Mix well for atleast 5 minutes to a smooth flowing batter.
4. Add salt and baking powder. Mix well.
5. Add onion, green chilli and coriander leaves.
6. Mix well. Check the consistency of the batter.
7. It should be smooth and flowing.
8. Add oil and butter in a wok/ pan. Heat on slow flame.
9. Add batter and spread. Sprinkle red chilli flakes and sesame seeds on top. Cook on slow flame for few minutes.
10. When it is almost dried up from the top then drizzle few drops of oil on the sides and on top. Turn the flame to medium slow.
11. Change the side. Cook on medium high flame.
12. Cook until both sides are golden. Switch off the flame.
13. Remove it on the plate.
14. Serve hot with ketchup.
15. Eggless Omelette is ready.
